Throughout Term 3, Year 7J along with many other classes in the school collected items to pack into boxes for needing children to receive this Christmas.
On The 14th of October, the students came to school in mufti and assembled their Christmas boxes during period 5 and 6. It was an exciting two periods during which you could feel the passion and enjoyment amongst the class. Each group presented their box to the class, explaining what was inside and how it could bring happiness to the child who would received it. Each group also wrote a le4tter to the recipient, wishing them a merry Christmas.
It was a day not to be forgotten and reminded us all how very blessed we are. I am so proud of the incredible effort that 7J put into their boxes and the spirit in which they did so. Well done.

Humour, Road safety and Medieval Feasts
Term 4, week 4 already! Studying and yearly examinations are over and the class all look very relieved.
Although it feels like all the work is over and the year has come to a close there is still a lot to get through and in certain subjects we are even beginning new topics.
We have begun our unit on Humour in English and the class enjoyed watching a few clips of Mr Bean in order to kick off the unit. We commented on "What makes you laugh?" and the different elements of visual comedy.
In PDHPE we have been learning about road safety and responsibility. Students have been learning about statistics and the rules of the road for scooter riders, cyclists and skateboarders. We hope to incorporate this into a drama skit to show to younger students in the weeks to come.
In History we continue with the study of Medieval Europe and the students are looking forward to their Medieval Feast on the 30th of November.
We all laughed at the photo of myself at my school Medieval Feast in 1993!!!
What will you be wearing 7J?
